I am a partner at Watt Busfield Tax Investigations. I have a deep understanding of HMRC's investigation powers, processes and penalties rules. I specialise in

• Contractual Disclosure Facility (CDF) under Code of Practice 9 (COP9) for suspected tax fraud,
• Code of Practice 8 (COP8),
• Worldwide Disclosure Facility (WDF),
• Requirement to Correct (RTC) / Failure to Correct (FTC),
• other HMRC compliance checks and
• voluntary disclosures to HMRC.

I aim to engage with the inspectors to bring the investigation to a conclusion as soon as possible, reducing the scope of the investigation and the final penalties, and to give the taxpayer certainty going forward.

I am a Chartered Tax Adviser with the CIOT and have worked at Ernst & Young, Alvarez & Marsal Taxand UK and as a management accountant for a Lloyd's of London Syndicate.

I am a member of ICAEW's Tax Investigator Practitioners Group (TIPG).

We are a specialist tax investigations firm founded in 2012. We have an office near Marble Arch/Bond Street in London but have helped clients nationwide from Wales to Manchester and Brighton. We can work directly with the taxpayer or assist their accountant/lawyer with the specialist issues.

Fees

My hourly fee is £195 GBP + VAT per hour. We can provide an initial confidential and complimentary meeting or call, up to one hour.
