Irish registered Tax Agent. Chartered Tax Adviser. Chartered Accountant. Specialising in Irish expatriate taxes for expats and their employers (inbound and outbound).
What we do
We are experts in expatriate tax. We work with a large number of Irish expats (both inbound and outbound) providing advice on the tax issues arising from breaking or assuming Irish tax residency and/or setting up a business in Ireland.
Our service offering extends also to provision of Irish tax compliance services for a wide range of tax heads (income tax, corporate tax, CGT & VAT).
We particularly enjoy providing Irish tax advice in the following areas: Irish tax residency, remittance basis of taxation for non-Irish domiciled individuals, split year relief, foreign earnings deductions, cross-border relief, Special Assignee Relief Program and PAYE exclusion orders.
We can advise on the implications of coming to live and work in Ireland. We also offer Global Mobility Services for employers who need to assign/relocate an employee to OR from Ireland.
Stephanie is an experienced International Tax Manager with wide ranging experience across numerous jurisdictions (EMEA and APAC).
Qualified Irish Chartered Tax Adviser and Chartered Accountant - KPMG trained.
"In a nutshell, my experience spans 20 jurisdictions, 10 years and 2 Big Four firms. I have worked with expats from large multi-nationals such as Chevron, Conoco Phillips, Rio Tinto and Woodside. More recently, I managed the Asia Pacific Tax Function for a global offshore services provider and I have hands-on experience working with both inbound and outbound expats.
When advising employers, my aim is to provide commercially sound, practical tax advice to allow them to relocate key personnel - taking into account the complexities involved with multi-jurisdictional tax heads. I deliver advice that focuses on the bottom line to ensure all available exemptions and reliefs are obtained and the best financial outcome is achieved. Issues such as managing PE risk need to be considered also (the risk the employer inadvertently creates a taxable presence when employees work in various locations).
For the employees my goal is that they receive the most tax efficient package while keeping in mind that a relocation is not just a tax transaction - it often represents personal upheaval.
I am experienced with concepts such as tax equalisation, hypothetical taxes and shadow payroll arrangements and I have experience drafting policies to implement these, as well as reviewing Contracts of Employment to check the anticipated financial outcome is achieved for all parties."
