Financial advisers are welcome to use the Tax Advice Network to obtain tax advice for clients.
Here are our FAQs for financial advisers.
We are more than a directory but not a resource for free tax advice either (even for members of IFA Life and readers of New Model Adviser)
What do you want?
To discuss a client's situation with a tax expert
Most accountants are great at dealing with most day to day tax issues. So if your client has an accountant they should be your first port of call - just as you go to the doctor rather than to a specialist when you feel unwell.
If however your client doesn't have an accountant or you feel that the situation is too complex for the accountant please see the guide to using this website below.
Remember, not all accountants are tax specialists and not all tax consultants are accountants! We reject around half of those who ask to become one of our vetted advisers.
Simply choose from our list of over 30 tax specialisms or use the search bar above to reach any of our dozens of specialist tax consultants.
You are welcome to use this site, without charge, to identify the best tax consultants who can help you or your clients right now. You can call or email advisers immediately. If they agree to provide any substantive advice they will tell you how much this will cost and you will need to agree to pay them for it.
If you cannot find what you need here please use the 'Contact us' facility.
Our tax advisers (or tax advisors if you prefer) have the necessary expertise to help you whether your tax problem or worry is about capital gains tax (cgt), inheritance tax (iht), VAT, letters from the taxman (HMRC or the Inland Revenue as it used to be called), a tax enquiry, tax avoidance schemes, a tax investigation, a share scheme, executorship, trusts, domicile, residence, stamp duty land tax, property tax, customs duty, national insurance contributions (NICs) of any of the other taxes that give cause for concern.
PLEASE NOTE
1 - Some of our members prefer only to deal with accountants - partly due to the client identification procedures that now apply. This should be clear on their profiles. In most cases though they will gladly take calls from financial advisers who want to access tax advice for their clients.
2 - Our members are specialists and generally charge accordingly. Whoever you approach will inform you of their fees and terms of business. They will also need to verify your identity and possibly that of your client (if they are to be responsible for fees) before they can provide any advice - this is a legal requirement under the Money Laundering Regulations.
3 - We recently introduced the facility for users to provide feedback and ratings on the advisers and their work. This will take time to build up!
4 - Tax advisers will be contracting directly with you or your client for the supply of tax advice and work. The Tax Advice Network merely facilitates this relationship.
5 - If you need further clarification, please call or email us through the 'Contact us' link above.
