What does it cost me to use this site?

Nothing, if all you want to do is to use our search facilities to find tax advisers to help you.

What will it cost to deal with the tax advisers?

Each adviser is in business on their own account. We do not impose a standard hourly rate such that each adviser will advise you of their rates and terms of business when you speak to them.

Who is my contract with?

Your contract for the provision of tax advice and support will be with the individual tax advisers. This will be a private contract and the Tax Advice Network will not be a party to it.

Who are the tax adviser members of this network?

They each have at least ten years tax experience and have undertaken to abide by our terms of business which include an obligation to provide certain key information on their profiles to assist you in deciding who to contact.

How do you guarantee the quality and competence of members of the network?

We can offer no guarantees. However we do vet all prospective members as explained on the membership criteria page of the website. Our Chairman, Mark Lee, has made the point that he has more confidence in independent advisers who satisfy our criteria than in the more junior tax managers and staff who undertake such work at a higher cost in larger consultancies.

What if I just want some simple telephone advice?

Whilst you're welcome to contact any of our members to discuss your tax issue, you may find it more convenient to use our tax advice helpline and pay a fixed fee (currently £25 plus VAT) for the call.

Are there any additional benefits available to accountants?

Full details of the benefits, facilities and options for Silver, Gold, Platinum and Premium membership levels are available by following this link. Platinum and Premium members are listed on our website for all those people who approach us looking for an accountant rather than an expert tax adviser.

How do I find a tax adviser?

You can search and find local tax experts using our list of over 30 tax specialisms or the search bar on the home page of the site.

When you 'search' the system will identify tax advisers who can help you. You can then check out the tax advisers' profiles, photos, ratings, testimonials and articles. And then you call or email your chosen tax adviser using the contact details on their profiles. Choose whatever approach best suits you.
