To get the tax advice you need.....
Thanks for visiting our website. We hope you'll find it intuitive and easy to use. Do let us know if you have a problem. There's a full guide below and FAQs here.
How can we help? Do you want 1,2 or 3?
1 - ....just to get some simple advice over the phone
If you'd be happy to receive your tax advice over the phone please use our Tax Advice Helpline - it's just under £30 (including VAT).
2 - ....help from someone even more expert than your local accountant
Maybe the taxman (HMRC) is giving you a headache, you feel that your situation is too complex for your accountant or you don't have one. You can search and find local tax experts using our list of over 30 tax specialisms or the search bar on the home page of the website.
Most accountants are great at dealing with day to day issues. So if you have an accountant they should be your first port of call - just as you go to the doctor rather than to a specialist when you feel unwell.
3 - ....to discuss a client's situation with a tax expert
Whether you are a financial adviser, solicitor, will writer, bookkeeper or other service provider we may be able to help you and your clients who require tax advice that they are unable to obtain from their accountant (or maybe they don't have one).
You can search and find local tax experts using our list of over 30 tax specialisms or the search bar on the home page of the website.
NB: If you want free tax advice
Sorry, but this isn't the place for you. This link will also enable you to access lots of relevant material and information that may help you to resolve your tax problem. Alternatively we suggest that you contact one of the two worthy charities that exist to support and help people who cannot afford to pay for the tax advice they need.
HOW TO USE THIS WEBSITE
1 - If you simply want telephone advice here and now you can use our fixed rate, low cost Tax Advice helpline; alternatively
2 - You can search and find local tax experts using our list of over 30 tax specialisms or the search bar on the home page of the website.
When you 'search' the system will identify tax advisers who can help you.
You can then check out the tax advisers' profiles, photos (if they have one), ratings, testimonials and articles. And then you call or email your chosen tax adviser using the contact details on their profiles. You choose whatever approach best suits you.
PLEASE NOTE
1 - Some of our members prefer only to deal with accountants but many members of the Tax Advice Network are willing to take instructions directly from taxpayers - for example those under investigation by HMRC.
2 - Our members are specialists and generally charge accordingly. Whoever you approach will inform you of their fees and terms of business. They will also need to verify your identity before they can provide any advice - this is a legal requirement under the Money Laundering Regulations.
3 - We recently introduced the facility for users to provide feedback and ratings on the advisers and their work. This will take time to build up!
4 - Tax advisers will be contracting directly with you for the supply of tax advice and work. The Tax Advice Network merely facilitates this relationship.
5 - If you need further clarification, please call or email us through the 'Contact us' link above.
